I am starting a checklist of things that Katie (or anyone) should know before they live on their own. The goal is to make sure everything has been checked off by the time she is ready to move out (whenever that may be.)
What do you wish you would have known, or was the best thing you learned?
What skills do you think are the most important to know?
I'll pull everything into a single document and post it when it's finished.
Thanks!

Making the list would be easier if one knew what she has already been taught but with no assumptions, in general:
1. How to check oil in the car
2. How to put gas in the car and pay for it
3. How to change a tire
4. How to budget money
5. How to wash clothes
6. How to cook "basic" items so she won't starve
7. What to do in case of a bad storm
8. What to do if the car breaks down
9. What to do if she is involved in an accident
10. Assuming she has a bank account, how to balance a checkbook
